Sponsors of 黑料网's World Wide Western student organization had the privilege of accompanying three international students to the Oklahoma State Capitol on February 25 for International Student Recognition Day. Attending students included Brock Walkow (Canada), Eduardo Fernandez (Spain), and Hugo Castagnon (France).

During the visit, students met with Representative Gerrid Kendrix in his office, where they asked thoughtful and engaging questions about leadership and public service. At the conclusion听of the meeting, Representative Kendrix honored each of them with a commemorative coin, a special moment they won鈥檛 forget. One of the highlights of the day was seeing Western alumni Miguel Clemente help organize the event and deliver the luncheon speech. He shared how participating in opportunities like this helped shape his journey and contributed to where he is today. Hearing firsthand how these experiences can create lasting impact was incredibly meaningful for our students.

Western extends a special thank you to Representative Gerrid Kendrix for taking the time to visit with our students. Appreciation also goes out to everyone who helped make this event a meaningful and memorable experience.
